The Registered Nurse who, using the nursing process, available resources, and approaches based on hospital protocols, designs, coordinates, and delivers care to meet the identified needs of patients whose protective reflexes Operating Room self-care abilities are potentially compromised because they are having operative or other invasive procedures. Perioperative nurses possess and apply knowledge of the procedures and the patient's intraoperative experience throughout the patient's care continuum. The Perioperative nurse assesses, diagnoses, plans, intervenes, and evaluates the outcome of interventions based on criteria that support a standard of care targeted toward this specific population. The perioperative nurse addresses the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual responses of the individual that have been caused by the prospect or performance of the invasive procedure. The Perioperative RN will take call as scheduled. We offer 100% credit for all applicable RN experience! Requirements:
Education: A Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Washington State Licensure as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) required, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified within 6 month of hire.
Experience: One year of recent Medical-surg experience is required. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Who we are!
