Who we need!
Providence Health and Services is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Management Operations. This position will be seated in Renton. The Director of Revenue Cycle Management Operations provides direction and support to the Service Area RCM Directors and RCM Manager of operations to ensure consistent and standardized process are implemented and maintained across the WA/MT Region. This position identifies and coordinates performance improvement opportunities to promote financial performance in the Service Areas and/Operating Room the WA/MT Region. Additionally, the Director ensures all practices relating to the acquisition and maintenance of information comply with federal, state and hospital regulations, policies and procedures.
Key accountabilities assigned to this position will include, but will not be limited to:
Oversight of regional activities relating to workflow, processes and procedures for pre-registration/registration, Financial Counseling, Health Information Management, Coding and Customer Service
Responsibility for ensuring that Revenue Cycle Metrics are met; including but not limited to WIP, DNFB, Clean Claims and Point of Service Collections (If RCM metrics are not met, IT is the responsibility of the Director, in collaboration with the Service Area RCM Director, to develop a corrective action plan to ensure timely resolution of issues)
In collaboration with other RCM Directors, planning, implementing and maintaining current processes under the centralized, standardized RCM model in the Providence Washington/Montana Region
Acting as regional representative for RCM and leads or participates in discussions and planning of hospital, service area, and regional programs
Sponsoring Regional or Service Area(s) IT, capital projects or programs. Report to IT Governance as required
Representing Revenue Cycle Management in a manner that promotes cooperation, accessibility, and emphasizes the department's service and support role across the service areas
Developing an organizational structure, plans, program guidelines, policies, and procedures to support and carry out the organization's goals and objectives
Requirements:
Education: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. The education requirement may be waived if the hiring authority deems the individual has equivalent experience and/or technical training.
Experience: This position requires a minimum of eight years of progressively more-responsible financial management experience in an acute health care entity and multi-entity system. Experience in Hospital Revenue Cycle Management plus five years of management/supervisory experience is also required.
